Boat Woman, ZhouZhuang Water Village, China

On September 15, 2007, I visited ZhouZhuang Water Village in southern China with 5 other friends. ZhouZhuang Water Village is one of famous ancient small towns in China. The whole town is a historic town, including all the bridges and stone-paved roads. Many restaurants and buildings are also historic monuments. The town is called as Eastern Venice since the whole town was built on the water and the boats are the main transportation tools. Shide and Yong’an Bridge were built between 1573 and 1619. They situated to the northeast of the town. Because they look like an ancient key, they are also known as Key Bridges.
