Birds at Ojibway

I have to admit that I am not into bird photography. Not that I don't like birds, I do, and I like them a lot. But I was too lazy to get up in the early morning and I don't have proper gear for shooting birds. All my gears are for shooting people :)
Recently I had a trip with couple of friends to Indiana to take some pictures of the sandhill cranes migration. The trip stirred a bit my interest of shooting birds pictures. So I got up at 11:00am today (very early for me on Saturday) and went to the Ojibway Nature Center in Windsor. Here are some pictures I took with Nikon D3s and 70-200mm f/2.8 VR lens.

1. Male Northern Cardinal

2. Junco

3. Male downy woodpecker

4. Male downy woodpecker

5. Black-capped Chickadee

6. Female Northern Cardinal

7. Mourning Dove

8. Another female northern Cardinal

9. flying birds (House Sparrows)
